Saiva Siththantha Thaththuvam

Thaththuvam. This is the philosophy of Saiva Siththantham. For the Saivaists Vedam is the Piramaana literature and Sivaakamam is the special Pirimaana litercture. Siththaantha Sasththirankal gives the full essence of all what is said above Vedam is personated as a cow. It’s milk is Aakamam.

The ghee got from that milk is Siththaantham. Vetham is compared to the Katpakatharu which yields whatever requested from it. The highest branch of this Katpakatharu is Vethaantham. The fruit which this tree yields is Saiva Siththaantham. Thus says the learned crown.

There are two principles in Vethaantham. They are Satpirapancha Vaatham and Vishapirapancha Vaatham God, souls and Malankal are says Sat Pirapancha Vaatham, God alone is the rest are destroyable as the water bubbles that are formed on the sea waves. They are not permanent says the followers of Wish Prapancha Vaatham.

Among these two principals Upanidatham which is of sat kaariya Vaatha Prirapah is considered as Saivaparam. On the other hand, Sivaaka Mankal and Maikanda sat Kaariyavaatha Principles as their base.

Sat Kaariya Vaatham proves that Pathy, Pasu and Paasam are permanent and explains their characteristic features. Now we shall see the details of the above mentioned three; Pathy, Pasu and Paasam.

PATHY

One who is the head of all worlds and living beings is known as Pathy. He is God his nature is of two types

They are :-

(1) Soroopalakkanam
(2) Thadaththalakkanam

Soroopalakkanam :.

In this stage Paramashivam is without any form, character symbol and action; In addition he will be single, permanent and the inner feelings of all souls. Also uncontrollably small among the small and big among the biggest. They are the characteristic of Sorropalakkanam. To mention his eight characteristic features are

To say in nutshell God’s nature is that of great knowledge and boundless joy. This is the nature of God.

Thadaththalakkanam

God Shiva who is of divine grace and eternal, in order to free the soul from Mummalam at during this operation of Panchakiruththiam, he forms his body out of divine greaty into 5 Moorththam with form character, symbol and action. This is his Thadathta Nilai.

Paramapathy alias Paramasivam’s high grace is known as Parasakththi from Parasakththi forms Ichcha sakththi, Kiriyasakthi and Gnanasakththi, Shiva joins these 3 Shakththi’s and Suththa Maayai and forms the body of grace and Vethakamam. He also creates all worlds form Asuththamaayai, protects them for a certain period and them compresses them into one and finally compresses all in his body and remains the great Paramapathy.

The holy bodies which God forms are of three kinds they are namely Nishkalam, Nishkalasakalam and Sakalam. The Sakalaththirumaeni are the following four as, Bharama Vishnu, Uruththiran and Maheswaran,. Uruvaththirumenikal, Sathasivam – Nishakala Sakalaththirumeni, Aruruvaththirumeni, Shivam along with Shakththi, Nishkala Thirumaeni – Aruruvaththirument, These three varieties is in the position of Thadaththanilai Suththaparamasivam which is above all these is the son Soroopanilai.

God who is Paripooranan has no in sufficiency so he does Panchakiruththiyam not for this sake but for the betterment of the soul. As letter A (ie) Akaram is present in all letters and as heat in water, so is God. He is omnipresent. He is everywhere operating each and everything. He guides the souls to get rid of all sins Malam and attain the holiness of God. Siva is inseparable from Shakththi. He processes grace, pride and he uncomparable. He is the Lord of Panchakiruththiyam. His body is of Aruvam, Uruvam and Aruruvam. By nature, he is aware of everything. He considers his devotees, and does what all they need, without like or dislike. But he appears as good for the good and bad for the bad. In short he is

“Nanninarkku Nalluvan.
Nannaarkku Nalla Allan”

He is the medicine for the disease which is known as birth.

So worship his almighty with piety says Thiruvarudpayan

PASU

Pasu indicates the soul. The soul is also named as Pasu when it is tied with Malam. Souls are countless from the beginning they are misdirected by Aanava Malam balance. It is misdirected by Aanavam. It does evils also God has given the souls, birth and body for them to undergo the good and bad effects of its actions. In this situation Aanmal faces birth and death. It’s births are countless during which come across multi experiences both good and bad. Education and knowledge help the souls to good and get rid of its sins. This is known as “Malaparipaakam” during which he receives God’s grace owing to this the soul receives Guru Theedchchai and Gnanam, thereby attains “Shivakathy”.

In short the souls which have attained divinity are countless, at the same time souls which have not attain divinity also are countless in number. The souls which awaits divinity are of three kinds. They are Sakalar with the three Malam aanavam Kanmam and Mayai, and Piralayakalar with the two (ie) Aanavam and Kanmam and Vinchanakalar with only one Malam (ie) Aanavam. What the soul sees in reality, it sees the same in a contradicting way its dream. So it has no freedom. It is guided by the 5 it has no power of knowledge to find out the reality for example light and darkness is one and the same to a blind man. He can’t identity them. But the soul can feel and understand when it feeded by another person. That is why God by makes and help the soul to gather knowledge and understand what all happens. Sivam is “Saththu” It will never join with “Malam” which is Asaththu” Malam which is comes under Aaththu Malam which comes under Asathtu con’t understand anything by itself. But when the soul joins Saththu it will act as “Saththu” and when it joins Asaththu it will act as Asatthu, so the soul is named as “Sathasaththu” The soul has the character of changing itself with the nature of that with which if joins or mix, so it God his almighty, doesn’t show or bless it with grace the soul will act as the eye of the owl which sees even in the presence of light thus says Thiruarudppayan.

PAASAM

Paasam it ties the souls with it, as a rope does. Because it ties the souls with itself, it is named as Paasam. It’s other names are :- Malam, Pantham and Thalai. It is three kinds. They are Aanavam, Kanmam and Maayai. In short it is named as Mummalam.

Aanavam

This is named as Moola Malam Sakasamalam, Arunmalam from the beginning this Aanavamalam is with the souls as It curtails the knowledge of the soul and covers it in full darkness. This is called as Aanava truth. Aanavamala has multi powers and controls the souls. The effect of Aanavam in the soul makes it act with unwanted haughtiness. It is true that the soul suffers a lot owing to many births as the result of and enjoys divinity by the grace of God. The cause for the ignorance of the soul, is the Aanavamalam which hides itself to the soul. The difference between darkness and Aanavamalam is that, Darkness will hide everything that are around us, but it will show itself, but in the case of Aanavamalam it hides ifself plus everything around. Aanavam is in the form of pride in souls. Aanavam will not near Shivam but will be with the souls alone. Though Aanavam is within many souls, it never shows itself even to a single soul some say that there is no such a thing as Aanavam. Some say that Aanavam is the character of souls some say that Aanavam grasped the souls only in the middle. But some say that that these too statements are wrong and not suitable. Because without Aanavam there is no births even after that Aanavam the souls exists.

Aanavam is Asaththu in character vice. So it won’t go by itself. At the same time the souls to will not join the Aanavam by themselves. God too doesn’t make both join. It joins the souls in the middle, it can do the same, even after the souls attain Mukththy. So Aanavam is eternal when concerned with the soul. Thus says Thiruvaruddpayan.

KARMAM

A doctor cures his patient by his medical treatment so does God Shiva Lord Shiva alias Vaithyanathan in order to cure the souls from their disease Aanavam, creates the world and give births. The souls when it is given birth, owing its Aanavam, does all sorts of evils and does only little amount of good things. In this way the soul does good and evils. These two is known as Karamam. These two are divided into four deeds as Siva’s good actions (deeds) Siva’s bad deeds and soul’s good deeds (actions) and soul’s bad deeds (actions). Along with this four two other actions done without any attachment forms altogether six. These actions or deeds come under three main divisions as

(1) Piraraththam
(2) Sanchitham and
(3) Aakamiyam

Piraraththam means, when the soul is born of whether good or bad, a part of the effects of the action done in the former birth, in by the soul in this birth. This is known as fate, Uool, God and Destiney, when we experience our former.

We do new at our present birth. This is known as Aakamiyam a part of this Aakamamiyam has to be experienced by is at this birth itself. Among the Vinai that we have done in our past and the present some remains without experiencing by us. That is known as Sanchitham. They have to be experienced by the souls in the coming births in the name of Piraraththam. Mind words, body are involved in our actions or deeds. Thinking, speaking and doing all the three comes under deeds or actions. When those actions under action or experience they are known in three categories as Divine Human and Temporal Birth and Deaths comes under God’s divine actions. Storm, Famine and rain comes under temporal category. Poison bites act comes under Human. Souls ought to experience or suffer their God and evil actions. As the proverb says we reap what we sow, the souls have to experience their own deeds which they have done in the former birth in this birth. A situation will occur when Aanavam will become powerless the good and band deeds will be erased and the soul by its contact with Saiva Punniya activities, with receive Theedchchai by the grace of Thiruvarul in the form of a priest and will attain Divinity.

THE SIX KINDS OR VARIETIES OF DEEDS (DEEDS)

Siva virtual deeds are those service done to God Siva and to Siva devotees. Siva sinful deeds are insulting God and His Devotees. Pasu (Soul virtual deeds are helping all souls. Pasu sinful deeds are doing evil to souls. Normal deeds are sneezing yawing etc. Deeds which do not cause good on evil to anyone, are named as Veruvinaikal no attachment is called Iruvinaiopou.

Among the two deeds done by the souls whether good or bad its effect does not goes to the soul. If will be handled by God Himself.

That is why God is also described as “Eduthu Sumappan” Thus say Thiruarulpaayan soul good actions will be blessed with worldly pleasures and bad actions with worldly pleasures. The result of “Sivanal Vinai” is Pathamuthty, and the result of evil actions is Hell. And Hell alone.

These actions will make Aanavam powerless when one suffers the effects of his actions his Karma too will be erased. These are done by the souls when it links with the body and world. This is known as Maya Kaariyam.

MAAYAI

Maayai is one of God’s multi powers. This Maayai is spoken as the Parikkiraka, Shakththy of God Himself. The Shakththy which is named as “Thethanmiya Shakththy” is God’s blessings. It is inseperable as fire and heat. Parikkiraka Shakththy is like Murukan’s Murukan His self and His conveyance the “Peacock”. This power can be used when needed, and left out when it is unwanted. This Maayai is of 3 catergories as Suththam, suitable Suththam and Asuththavam, suththasuththa Maayai as Viththaya Thaththuvams and Asuththa Maayai as Aanama Thaththuvam also, Suththasuththa Mayai is spoken as Michchaira Mayai and Asuththua Mayai and as Pirikiruthy Mayai. The body which is the residence of the soul is the result of this three Maayakaariyam. Like the body, the world too is personifies Siva Thaththuvam seven Thaththuvam twenty four altogether thirty six Thaththuvams. There is of all these 36 Thaththuvams. These thirty-three Thaththuvams are vividly explained as ninety-six Mayai helps the souls in four forms as, Thanu, Karana, Puvana, Pokam, Thanu body Karanam te body, Puvanam is the world and Pikam all pleasures and sorrows which the souls experience. As a small lamp helps one in the dark so does, Thanu, Karana, Puvana, Pokam helps and guides the souls till Thiruarul blesses them.

The fife Siva Thaththuvams are :- Naatham, Vinthu, Sathakkiya, Eshwaram and Suththaviththai.

The seven Vithyathaththuvam are :- Kalam, Niyathy Kalai, Viththai, Araakam, Purudam and Maayai – Maayai – Moolappirakiruththi. The twenty four Aanma Thaththuvams are:- Anthakkaranam four Thanmaththirai fivie Pori fife, Kanmaenthiriam fife, and Potham fife Anthakkaranam four are :- Manam (Mind) Puththy (knew ledge) Siththiam and Ahankaram.

The fife Thanmaththiram are :- Suvai, Olli, Uuru, Oosai, and Naaltam to be clear Tatste, Light, Mishap, sound and smell.

The five Pori (mark or sign) (Gnanenthiriyams) are Mei, Vaai, Kann, Mokku and Sevi to be clear body, mouth, eyes, nose and ears.

The vie elements Nilam, Neer, thee, Vali and Vaan – namely ground water, fire, air and sky. Siva Thaththuvam which are of Suththa Maayai helps the souls to feel and find out the truth.

The five Kanmaenthiriyams are :- tounge hand, leg, Anus and the sign or mark.

Suththtasuththa Mayai which are Viththya Thaththuvankal in a balance state, helps to understand and also helps to do deeds and enjoy their effects or results. A Suththa Maayai which is Aanmaththtuvams, on behalf of Aanavam helps to get rid of ignorance and do more deeds.

Aanavam which is eternal with the souls, acts as a hidden power with the very soul. Because of this what deeds the soul does, whether good or bad remains formless owing to this, the deeds done by the soul whether good or bad too remains formless. Maayai only helps the souls in this stage. Sivathathuvam Viththyathathuvamkal, Anthakkaranankal, Thanmaththiraikal – all are formless. Elements, tokens, Kanmaenthiriyankal are all of shapes. Also other worthy things that gives pleasures and sorrows are with shapes Maayai or Maayamalm is also impurities that is formed newly to erase the original dirt’s. Maayai can be compared to a soap which is used to wash away the dirt’s in clothes. It is also known as supportive Malam (dirt) Mayai is impure are at the same time helps to get rid of impurities. This is the reason why Mayai being supportive to Thaththuvams prevents the soul from gaining genuine knowledge and at the same time it remains supportive to Thiruarual and helps the souls to affaire or gain genuine knowledge thus it does two functions.
