Siththantha Sasthiras are also named or described a Meikanda Sasthithirangal. This was composed by six scholars.

But, the Sathakamamikkovai is sound to be the productions of Maraignanasambandhar and this book is considered to be a Sithantha text. The three following scholars are countered to the authors of Sasthiras Holy and Meikandadevar Arunanthisivachariyar and Umapathy Sivachariyaar. Vivid Explanation of Meikandasathiram


1) Thiruvunthiyar


This is earlier in time vice to Sivagnana botham. The Thiruviyaloor Uiyayavantha Thevanayanar. This literature contains 45 verses which provides with the Sithantha which religious literature peaks about literature, Nature and benefits of the three ie God Himself, souls and world.


2) Thirukkalittuppadiyar


This is an earlier to book to Sivagnanapatham. This was written by the student’s student of Uiyavantha Thevanayanar, named Thirukkadavoor Uiyayavantha Thevanayanar. This book consists of 100 Venbas. This publication gives a clear idea of Thiruvunthiyars. This book got its name as Thirukalittuppadiyar because as mentioned earlier, this books was launched at Thirukalittupadikal at Ponnambalam.


This containes certain incidents good and bad taken from the life history of the 63 Nayanmar. Also certain explain given here quoting certain Thirukural examples makes the reader to enjoy the value of the same to a great deals.


3) Sivaganapotham


This is one of the best among the 14 Sastras mentioned above this consists of the Siththantha truths written by Thirvennai Nallur scholar named Meikanda Thevar. It is in found in both verse and prose forms. The prose portion contains more of example and explanations. Among the verse section, to 12 Soothirangal and 81 Venbas. The above 12 Soothrangal are the translation of the Sanskirt Soothirangal found in Rawra Agamam in Sanskirt says Dr. Ramanasasthitri Maramalai Adikal and K. Subramaniam Pillai considering that to be the 1st. But M. Balasubramani Mudaliyar emphasize that Sivagnana Potham is not at all a translation and be has proved it by setting 120 examples in the year 1949 an he has also published small continuing the above saying.


4) Sivagnanasiththiyar


Sivagnanasiththiyar and Iruba Irubathuwere by Meikandar’s senior and first student of Arulanthy Sivachariyar. The text Sivagnanasiththiyar serves as a guide to Sivagnanapotham. This book is of two divisions named Parapakkam and Subakkam. Parapakkam is based on the verse song that serves a Avaiaddakkam 12 chapters explains vividly the contents of the 12 Sooththiras of Sivagnanapatham. The essence of Sivagnanapatham is vividly explained in Subakkkam. This portion containes of 328 verses. The proverb “Sivanukku Mel theivam Illai Siththikku Vinchiya Nool Illai” i.e there is not top and high divine power above Lord shiva and no high qualified book above Siththiyar Thaayumanavar too top poised the same in this comments about the same.


5) Irupa Irubathu


This contains the vivid explanation of 20 verses that deal with Siththantham. This is in the form of questions and answer. Answer and explanation gives by Meikandar. The character ship fealties of Aanavam and 7 of Maavai and the 6 of Kanmam are well explained here. Also explanation are given to the following Arudthodargal of Saiva Thirumuraigal.


“Kannpar Yaarkennuthallai Kaadaakkaalae” and “Unil Unnum Unnavidil Viddium” Also standard explanations are given to Appaswanigal’s Thiruththandagam “Irunilanayae Theeyagi” and Gnanasambanthar’s Thirupassauram “Aadpaalavakku Arulum Aaathy Maanpum..” This small work proved the richness of Meikandar’s specialty and knowledge.


6) Unnmai Vilakkam


This was done by Meikandadevar is another dciple Manavasagam Kadanthar; this contains 53 Venbas and also it gives a vivid explanation Aanavam the nature of God, Iruvinaioppu, the truth of Panchaadeharam and so on. It is in the form of questions and answer form. The three great aspects of Mukthi as god, soul and the world and well explained in this publication.


The eight of Umapathy Sivachariyar


1) Sivapirakasam


This book plays an important part as a guide to Sivagnanapotham. The Paayiram of this, vividly fells about the scholars of Thirukkailaya Parambarai, the nature of Hindu literature, kinds of Theedchai short and vivid form. It also explains how to go thro’ thee texts and comment on them properly.


This contains 100 Viruththankal. In this, the Saiva Siththantha Athvaitha stage souls and body following the of various religiouns and above all the nature of Siththantha Muththi.


2) Thiruarul Payan


The entire structure is of Venba verse. It is of 10 chapters. Each chapter contains 10 Kuralpaakal. The 1st chapter containing 10 Kuralpakkal describes vividly about the nature of God. The names of the rest ture chapters are as follows:- (1) Uyirava Nillai
(2) Irulmala Nilai
(3) Arulathu Nilai
(4) Aruluru Nilai
(5) Ariyum Neri
(6) Uyirvillakam
(7) Inpuru Nilai
(8) Intheruththu Arul Nilai
(9) Ananthoor Thanmai


3) Vinai Venba


This is of 13 songs. This is in the form, as Maraignannasambandar, explaining truths of Sastras to his students. First of all light and darkness cannot prevails in one place at the same time. Also about the presence of God in himself, what he feels and in conclusion those who forgo all the three (ie) the observe the sight he observes and the objection the sought only can attain at very divinity.


4) Paiety Pahdorai Venba


This is the Venba form praising the Guru who has blessed the soul holy Sivagnam how to function as a soul and to reach what is pest from the Great Power so many important and unknown facts are explained in the contents of this Venba literature. 5) Koddikkavi


This is a very small publication of only 4 Venbas. The portion which explains that they prevails no difference light and darkness is worth understanding and enjoyable. Because this Koddikkavi was sung at the moment to hoist the holy flag at Thillai temple it is named as Koddikkavi.


6) Nenchuvidu Thoothu

7) Unmai Nerivilakkam

8) Sangatppa Nirakaranam


The above explains in details about majority of policies of Akachchamayangal, and at the same time rejects the above mentioned principles Sivagnana Siththiyar Parapakkam and the above mentioned Sangatppa Nirakoramam jointly is used a lot in learning about different aspects of the policies of Siththantha Saivam. Besides in the “Nimiththa Kaarana Parinaanavathy Sankatppam” quotations and explanations and examples and extracts are well quoted from Apparswamigal’s Sampantha’s Thevarapathigangal, Thiruvasgam, Thiruvisaippa and Kaarikaal Amaiyar’s Atputha Thiruanthathy. In short, though small, Sangatpa Nirakaranam well explains that Saiva Siththantha way is the best of all, in all aspects.
