Ruththirakkam

The specialty of Ruththirakkam is described as the Eye of Ruththira once of happeded tht Thirupuratha Asurarkal greated so many evils to the Devers and so the Thivar made a complaining about this to Load Shiva, bearing this Shiva shed bears and those tears of Siva is considered as Ruththirakkam wearing this Ruththirakkam is a holy and beneficial along to get to blessings of Lord Shiva as the Thirumangalam is holy and beneficial to thus is Ruththirakkam to devotees of Lord Shivan and at is a holy symbol too. It also protects the devotees to the correct path in their life time.


The variety of Ruththirakkam


Ruththirakkam is of many kinds as the seeds contain from 16 faces to one face each type of it is blessed by different. The colours of Ruththirakkams are black, ash, and brown. The Ruththirakkam chain must be made of the same kind of balls. The other names of Ruththirakkam are:- Kanndy, Akku, Kanmani, Sivamani, Thaalvadam holy taken etc.

The great blessing, and benefits a person who wearing this Ruththirakka Malai is well described in the following Thevaram by Thirugnanasambanda


“Nekkulurva Mikaperukin
Thakku Maalai Konda Ankaiyil Ennuvar
Thakka Vaanavaka Thaku Vippathu
Nakka Naama Namachchivaayavae”


For those who wear Ruththirakkam with a holy mind and pray to Lord Shiva is blessed with health wealth, happiness and long life also they will enjoy the feet of His Almighty.


Ruththirakka Tharanam


This means to proper time when one should wear Ruththirakkam. The tree is as follows:- Siva Poosai Santhiyavanthanam, Thiruvasaga Parayanam, Puranapadanam, Sivan temples worship etc. One must avoide wearing the same during path, and other impure periods. Head, Neck, Hand, Chest, Ears, Shoulders are the proper and suitable parts of the body. Where one should wear Ruththirakkam. There are also restriction what sort of Ruththirakkam and should wear at particular times specially the Ruththirakka Malai one must wear during prayers and Manthira Jebam is that which contains 108 or 54 Ruththirakkam. Note:- King named Parameshvara Palavan was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva His reign was between A/C 670 – 685 he built very many Shivan temples in his country.
